When I wanted to start my own travel blog a few years ago during the covid pandemic, I found that creating my own website was anything but easy. I too sat at my laptop for hours, frustrated because building that own website was so difficult....
Until I discovered Showit.
I became a self-taught Showit designer and ever since, I had a mission: to help other business owners create their own website, without frustration and hassle.
And this is how traveling led to what I do now. But not in the 'travel influencer' way. 😉
I'm Astrid!
With my marketing experience, I know exactly what works and what doesn't. After all, a website that's just pretty and has no strategy, of course, doesn't get you anywhere. As a Showit designer, Iput my knowledge into practice and that eventually led to the launch of my Showit website templates.

As more and more clients joined in, there was a growing need for even more tools. So, I introduced all kinds of Showit add-ons, Instagram templates and Canva pricing guide templates.
Wonderlik Webdesign kept growing, giving me the freedom to chase my dream life. After a second trip to Namibia and South Africa, the idea of moving abroad started to spark excitement.
In November 2023, I took the plunge! I quit my marketing job and embraced my big dream. I hopped on a plane from Amsterdam to Cape Town, not knowing a single soul. And guess what? Shortly after, I met my amazing boyfriend!
2023
Meanwhile, Wonderlik Webdesign already has more than 1000 customers worldwide: from the Netherlands to the United States and even Colombia!
In 2024, I faced one of the toughest times in my life: I lost my dad unexpectedly and far too soon. This heartbreaking event made me realize even more how passionately I want to chase freedom: to do what I love, wherever and whenever I choose. Now, thanks to Wonderlik Webdesign, I get to live that dream every single day!
I continued to work full-time as a digital marketer in an agency and spent all my free time building my business.
2021
What started as trying to make a travel blog during the pandemic, with wasting countless of hours and pennies on website builders and themes, turned into an urge to help other business owners with their websites.
Thanks to Showit, I believed again that creating your own website does not have to involve blood, sweat and tears. Making websites became fun and I dived deeper into it to become a Showit designer.
By August 2020, I went to the Chamber of Commerce, and that’s how Wonderlik Webdesign came to life!
I have always had two big hobbies: photography and travel. While studying Digital Marketing, I kept going on as many trips as I possibly could and got the idea to start a travel blog.
My journey
It paid off, because within just a year, I got to help over 250 amazing entrepreneurs launch stunning new websites using my Showit website templates.
